Patient Survey Action Plans

Our Patient Participation Group conducted a patient survey in March 2019. Below we have listed your comments and the actions plans drawn up from them.

Radio too loud.

We did…

  • The volume of the radio has been reduced.

You said…

Personal issues at reception.

We did…

  • A private area is always offered for private discussions. Please always request this with a receptionist and we will accommodate you.

PPG notice board – where is it?

We did…

  • After discussions about the position of this board, it will be moved to underneath the Numed TV screen, in the hope patients will notice it more.
  • We have made the PPG section of the website more prominent and we will update our advertisement on our Numed TV screen, to catch patients attention.

Shorter waiting times for appointments – 2 weeks is too long.

We did…

  • We are constantly trying to improve our appointments system. In order to make more appointments available, clinical rotas are now put on for 6 weeks ahead, enabling less urgent appointments to take the later slots, hopefully leaving us with more earlier appointments.

You said…

Telephone lines often engaged.

We did…

  • Unfortunately at busy times, often patients are all calling for appointments at once. We are in the process of introducing new ways of making appointments and these include using online services including the myGP app which will be introduced later this year enabling appointments to be booked.

Clinics running late.

We did…

  • Receptionists have been reminded to let patients know if any of our clinical staff are running late.
